Hike Mount Battie
For a breathtaking view of Camden and the surrounding area, hike to the top of Mount Battie. The trail is well-maintained and offers a moderate challenge. The best time to hike is in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. Don't forget to bring comfortable shoes, water, and a camera to capture the stunning views.
Enjoy the Sunset at Laite Memorial Beach
Laite Memorial Beach will always be one of my favorite places because it is where I got engaged! This beach is small and low key, located in the middle of Camden. It is right by a park with some picnic tables, making it a great spot to enjoy sandwiches from Camden Deli or to bring some wine and enjoy the sunset. Road Trip to Hike Acadia
You can't go to Maine in the summer and not enjoy Acadia National Park. Luckily, the park is less than 2 hours away and makes for a scenic drive. Each February, Camden hosts the National Toboggan Championships. Watch as teams race down the 400-foot-long wooden toboggan chute at lightning speeds. It's a fun event for the whole family and a great way to experience the unique culture of Maine's mid-coast region.
