Anyone who completes the 75 Hard challenge is bound to have these benefits that postively affect their lives. Here are some of the benefits you can expect:

  • Improved Relationship with Food

The 75 Hard challenge helped me improve my relationship with food. I actually ate more food than I ever had before, but I learned to love whole foods and avoid processed foods, noticing how they make me feel. I also learned to listen to my body and eat when I was hungry. I had more energy throughout the day, and I felt better overall.

  • Increased Physical Fitness

By working out twice a day for 45 minutes each and having to be consistent whether I wanted to or not, I was able to reach my fitness goals faster. I also felt stronger and more confident in my body. The challenge helped me learn to listen to my body and do more low-impact exercises like yoga and walking on days I was not feeling my best.

  • Mental Toughness

The mental toughness I developed during the challenge was by far the most significant benefit. Nothing makes you feel more confident than staying true to your word and doing something you said you were going to do. Proving that I could be consistent in each of these areas in my life for a full 75 days showed me I can do anything I want to do. This mindset has helped me in other areas of my life, such as my career and personal goals.

  • Healthy Habits

The challenge also helped me develop healthy habits. By drinking a gallon of water a day and following a consistent sleep schedule, I felt more energized and focused. I also learned to prioritize my time better to fit in the workouts and reading in my already busy life.

75 Hard Challenge Results (My Takeaways)

During the 75 Hard Challenge, I noticed significant changes, both mentally and physically. However, the changes I noticed were more mental than physical, and that was my goal. I felt stronger mentally, which was a significant win for me.

One of the most significant improvements I noticed was in my relationship with food. The challenge allowed me to fall in love with healthy food and appreciate its benefits. I was no longer reaching for junk food or processed snacks, but instead, I craved fruits and vegetables.

I was especially intrigued by people's reactions to someone giving up alcohol. Even though I have never been a big drinker and would always prefer food over alcohol, it put into perspective how reliant people can be on alcohol and how so many events are centered around it.

During the challenge, I felt more alive and present. I was more aware of my surroundings and appreciated the little things in life. It was an incredible feeling that I had never experienced before.

My husband and I fell in love with living a healthy lifestyle, and it has impacted every part of our lives. We started fueling our bodies better, craving exercise, and even switching to non-toxic products. We even bought a sauna blanket for Christmas to share and regularly use it and our cold plunge for hot/cold therapy.

Overall, he 75 Hard Challenge was a life-changing experience that allowed me to become mentally stronger, appreciate healthy food, and live a healthier lifestyle.

75 Hard Challenge Results (My Husband's Takeaways)

After completing the 75 Hard challenge, I had a lot of takeaways.

One of the biggest things I learned was the difference between motivation and discipline. I realized that motivation is fleeting and unreliable, whereas discipline is what gets you through the tough times.

I also became more aware of the fact that the government and big corporations don't care about our health, and that we need to take control of our own well-being.

Before the challenge, I used to eat Chick-fil-a at least once a week, but now it doesn't even cross my mind. Instead, I crave healthy food and feel much better for it.

I also learned a lot about the effects of alcohol on the body, especially through this Andrew Huberman podcast, and noticed how even having just two beers could significantly affect my Whoop recovery. As a result, I'm not as interested in drinking anymore, but do enjoy a margarita every now and then.

Finally, I found that the reading aspect of the challenge helped me in my career and the professional world, as I was able to gain new insights and perspectives from the books I read.

75 Hard Tips and Tricks

As someone who has successfully completed the 75 Hard challenge, I wanted to share some tips and tricks that helped me along the way.

1. Knock The Tasks Out Early

First and foremost, try to get the tasks done as early in the day as possible. This will make the challenge way easier and less stressful. Also, never wait until you are tired at night to read your book. It's much better to read earlier in the day when you're more alert.

2. Stay Excited in the Kitchen

I found Pinterest and TikTok to be great resources for healthy meals to cook. It's important to keep things interesting and exciting in the kitchen to avoid getting bored with your diet.

3. Choose Books Interesting to You

When choosing books to read, make sure they are interesting to YOU. Don't feel pressure to read something just because someone else recommends it. You're more likely to stick with the challenge if you're enjoying the reading material.

4. Never Miss That Morning Workout

It's crucial to never skip the morning workout. If you do, it becomes really hard and inconvenient to get in two 45-minute workouts later in the day.

5. Keep a Huge Water Bottle With You Always

Keep a Stanley cup with you to refill when on the go. This will help you stay hydrated throughout the day. Also, prioritize your water intake early in the day so it doesn't keep you up at night having to go to the bathroom.

6. Learn to Habit Stack

Habit stacking is a great strategy to help you stick with the challenge. Attach the progress picture to the early morning workout after getting dressed and filling up your water bottle. This will help you remember to take the picture and stay on track with your workouts.

7. Have a Partner

Finding a partner to do the challenge with can make it more fun and help hold you accountable. Lastly, don't be afraid to do yoga or light walks on days when your body is telling you to rest. It's important to listen to your body and take care of yourself throughout the challenge.

I participated in the 75 Hard Challenge a year ago, and it was an experience that I will never forget. The challenge helped me to develop mental toughness, which I still see the effects of today. Physically, I am also still benefiting from the challenge, especially the 45-minute walks that I got used to during the challenge.

Overall, I genuinely loved everything about the challenge except for drinking a gallon of water a day. I'm naturally not a very thirsty person, so remembering to drink it throughout the day was hard for me. I had many nights of chugging the rest of my gallon before bed and then waking up many times to use the restroom during the night. However, I definitely saw benefits from this and make sure to stay more hydrated today.

Honestly, my husband and I had a blast doing 75 Hard. We motivated each other and kept each other accountable, but also had a fun level of competitiveness. There is nothing like living with someone who is waiting to see if you forget one of the tasks! I look back at last summer and instantly think of all of our fun memories we made while completing the challenge, both at home and while traveling. I know I will 100% be doing the challenge again one day!
