This is also a great place if you’re wanting to pick up a pizza and go hang out at your house. We tend to call in a pizza on the way home from a long deep sea fishing day and it’s the perfect easy dinner!

St. George Island offers visitors pleasant experiences throughout the year. March to May is ideal for basking in more mild temperatures.This period allows for activities such as walking on the beach and kayaking without the intense heat. Summertime, particularly from June to August, is perfect if you’re yearning for beach days. We always take our family trip here the end of July. It is hot but the water makes it bearable!
The fall months, like September and October, bring fewer tourists and cooler weather. These months are great for a more relaxed and personal experience. Winter, on the other hand, tends to be the quietest. Visiting between November to February means less busy, although some establishments may have reduced hours or services.
Travel Tips
Efficient travel starts with knowing the most convenient ways to reach the island. You can fly into nearby cities like Tallahassee or Panama City and then rent a car for the scenic drive if you live far away. You’ll definitely want to have a car on the island to get around.
